Sky welcomes the Disney Channel
Disney have announced that late 1995 a UK version of the Disney channel will
join the BSkyB network.
The channel will broadcast on one of Skys transponders on either Astra 1A,1B
or 1C.It will broadcast for 16 hours a day and will be only available as a
bonus channel to subscribers of the Movie channels.( Just like Movies GOLD )

LATEST on Astra 1D
Astra 1D is currently at 18.9 degrees East undergoing transponder tests. It
will move alongside the present Astra satellites on 30th December.
Details of the Astra 1D channels will be released soon.

NEW Hard-core Porn channel!!
To the few that might be interested,an advert has appeared in a magazine
informing the public that TV EROTICA will be starting up soon.For those in
the UK wishing to view this channel will have to aquire a twin-LNB system,
( or move your dish to 16 degrees ),a D2-Mac decoder,and then try and get
hold of a card.
No details are available as yet,but it would be likely that the sale of the
official cards will not be available in the UK.

BBC to start beaming down
The BBC have announced that their News & Information channel ( BBC World )
will start transmitting from around January.The channel will be on the
Eutelsat II F1 and shown round the clock in the clear.
Programs will be a mix of current affairs,weather,documentary,and hourly
bulletins.

MTV's Steve Blame defected!
Steve Blame,one of MTV's longest serving VJ's and Newsreader has moved over
to Viva Television in Germany.

Dishes are getting smaller!
Dish maker Galaxis have unveiled their Future 1 Astra antenna.This amazing
dish ( well rectangle really! ) measures just 360mm * 200mm * 40mm.Galaxis
claim that aswell as receiving Astra 1A,1B,1C and 1D,it also suitable for
recieving a few Eutelsat satellites aswell.
No price has been announced yet.
Comment: Now your parents or neighbours can't complain about an ugly dish
outside the building.Get this and position it by the window.
( Don't forget to move the curtains! )

Sky Pirate card advert appears!
In one of the latest issues of a Satellite magazine,Benedix Electronics of
Germany are advertising Pirate cards.Not mentioning Sky by name their advert
claims the card descrambles English channels on Astra.The price is a very
cheap £160.( HOW MUCH? ).Other cards available are an Adult channel smart-
card for a cheaper £20,and a D2-Mac 9 channel card for £45.
